Yesterday, I woke up to a blanket of fluffy snow that looked almost surreal. After debating whether or not I should bundle up and go outside and build a snowman (the child in me) or finish packing…my conscience got the best of me and I chose the latter.
What a day I had! I packed up an entire room and most of my artwork. Which brings me to an important point…Though I hope to be around for years to come, I think it’s a good idea to mark on the back of any artwork, who you would like to bequeath it to…once you are gone. My art collection is not worth much monetarily, but each piece has a story behind it and I actually know who loves what when it comes to my four children.
I continue to find little treasures from the past that make me smile. As anyone who reads my columns knows…I hang on to things I am nostalgic about which includes just about everything my children ever created.
So…The day is coming soon when I will be bidding adieu to the house I love and moving on to the next exciting chapter of my life.
I think I’m almost ready……
