After several dreary days of nonstop rain, the sun is shining brightly. The world outside my window looks like an artist’s freshly painted canvas. It is a breathtaking sight. The mountains are lush and green and the sky is a soft, endless shade of blue. The air is warm with just a hint of what is to come.
Fall is a magnificent season in the mountains. Soon the foliage will turn a golden hue and the air will be cool and crisp, teasing me to come outside and play.
I have lived in the mountains of North Carolina for 23 years and the arrival of Fall still inspires me. It never seems to get old just better… Like a dear friend who comes to visit at the same time each year, bearing gifts that make you smile.
