The First Of Three Miracles

It was August 18th, 1977 and I had just given birth to a beautiful baby girl, with such big gorgeous eyes that everyone in the delivery room was talking about them. Supposedly newborn infants can’t see very well but I would swear that my daughter was staring right at me and “seeing” her redheaded, freckled faced Mommy smiling at her.

Four hours later, a nurse came running in my room exclaiming, “Your baby just rolled over twice in her bassinet in the nursery. This is almost unheard of in a newborn baby! She is so strong!! My husband started laughing…”A little Drecksler with super human strength!” he said. Must come from my side!” He looked at me with wet eyes. Tears of joy from a man who had been told years ago he couldn’t be a Father because of a childhood illness.

Samantha Eve….Our first of three little miracles!

* In loving memory of Samuel Drecksler (Grandfather) and Dr. Howard Drecksler (Uncle) who passed away before our first daughter was born. Samuel died at 50 and Howard was killed by a drunk driver at 26.

Happy 33rd Birthday Samantha Eve Kennedy
Best Wishes For a Healthy and Happy Year!
