The other day, I had the pleasure of visiting the Grand Bohemian Hotel. I have friends coming up from Florida and wanted to give them a detailed description of one of Asheville’s newest hotels.

From the moment I walked through the door, I was impressed! Right off the lobby area is a gorgeous art gallery filled with everything from magnificent paintings to exquisite handcrafted jewelry. Art consultant, Laura Cousins, greeted me southern style… with a smile and a kind word. She politely answered all my questions about the gallery. I was delighted to learn of an upcoming exhibition of artist, Elizabeth St. Hilaire Nelson.

I stepped into the Red Stag Grill and couldn’t resist looking at the lunch menu. My husband and I were soon sitting at a table by a big window with oversized comfy chairs and a view of the Biltmore area. Our lovely and vivacious food server, Abby Davis, took our order and answered several more questions I about the hotel. Lunch was delicious with every dish freshly prepared by Executive Chef, Adam Hayes, Sous Chef, Brian Knickrehm and a very talented staff.

After lunch, Executive Chef, Adam Hayes and I had an opportunity to talk. I learned how passionate he is about creating a superb dining experience for his guests. From the reviews that I have read and my dining experience, I am confident that he will be a huge success.

Before I left the hotel, I visited the ladies room and was pleased to find plush hand towels and a powder room fit for a queen!

The Grand Bohemian Hotel made quite an impression! I can’t wait to return!
