In the eight years I’ve been in the chocolate business, many people have asked me about my concept and how I got started.
Anyone who knows me understands how much I love chocolate. One day, I was reading the family my list of potential names for my business (most of them pretty exotic sounding) and my daughter Heidi said, ” What are you selling?” I look at her strangely.”You know what I’m selling …Everything Chocolate.” She replied , “Well, there’s your name.” It was such a perfect name…. I couldn’t believe that I hadn’t thought of it!
My idea was to find the very best chocolatiers in this country and sell their products. I wasn’t looking for the biggest companies… just the very best. As I started my search, I found more than just fabulous chocolate. I discovered some of the most amazing families who had a dream and created it into a business. As a writer, I was thrilled because I wanted to know everything about the story behind the chocolate.
The past eight years have been an interesting journey. I’ve been able to combine my love of chocolate with my passion for creative writing. When I do my chocolate presentations, I am able to share more than just scrumptious chocolate…I am sharing a part of the American dream!
