Every day I read heartwarming stories about people who open their hearts and wallets to help those less fortunate …These aren’t necessarily rich folks but rather regular people or the guy on the street as I like to call them. People who know that they can make a difference… no matter what the size of their contribution or extent of their help.
Yesterday, thousands of motorcyclists rode through town to honor a fallen N.C. Highway Patrol Trooper who left behind a wife and very sick newborn baby. Thousands of dollars were raised…but just as important was the outpouring of love that spread like wildfire through our little mountain town.
It’s these acts of kindness that give me hope that no matter what the future holds… we will survive …as long as we watch out for each other!
