Today, I had my blinds installed in the new townhome by a really nice man and his son. They are a striking duo, both very tall with terrific smiles. I met Doug (Dad) years ago when he installed some blinds in my home. Pete, the son has his own business but has been helping out his Dad….Doug is battling cancer and will be undergoing some pretty tough treatments in the weeks to come. I had the opportunity to talk to Pete about his Dad and I could see in his eyes and hear in his voice how much he cares about him.
I need a favor from my faithful readers. Would each one of you please take a moment out of your day to say a prayer for Doug. I realize that he is a stranger to all of you but I believe so strongly in the power of prayer that I know it can make a difference.. I imagine this wonderful chain of positive thoughts spreading around the country …making it’s way back to this really nice guy as he fights to get better.
I witnessed love at it’s very best today…
Mrs. Drecksler I cant thank you enough for using your forum to get some extra prayers for my dad. As we discussed yesterday, you can never have too many. The power of prayer worked today and the surgery went well and the news was very promising. He will start his radiation on Monday. Once again thank you and it was an absolute pleasure to meet you and your husband.
Sincerely,
Pete
I am Maryann Koch, Doug’s mother-in-law from Illinois. Just talked to Pete and he said that you had written a really nice article about his Dad. Found the article on the computer and wanted to thank you for asking your readers to pray for him as he battles this cancer. He is a really special person. Good in every way to each and everyone, even his mother-in-law. Prayer is the answer. Sincerely thankful.
