Do not promise what you can’t deliver! I have written about this before in regard to the sales and service industry…. I believe it should apply to life in general.
Most people who make empty promises do not have bad intentions… they just don’t think before they talk. An example...If you need someone…I’ll be there for you..you can count on me…Then when they can’t deliver the goods as we say…It starts a cycle of disappointment.
With the presidential elections right around the corner, we have a perfect example of the empty promise syndrome. Let me make this very simple…Americans want credibility! We work very hard…we put our faith in the politicians who stand up and make promises… Don’t tell us what you think we want to hear…Tell us the truth!
