I feel like we as a nation have lowered our expectations of our politicians.

Important stories take a back seat as the seedy details of Schwarzenegger’s affair are revealed. Once again, the public is subjected to the boring (yes I said boring) day by day findings similar to a Tweet The other day I read another article about celebrities who are angry about having their pictures photoshopped in advertisements and publicity shots. It got me thinking about how I would feel if this was done to me. Of course, I would first have to be famous enough to have photographers clamoring for Tweet I’m not a prude but sometimes I wish for the ” good old days” when the media wasn’t intent on outdoing each other for “shock” effect. I miss the days when television was watchable by all generations and parents didn’t have to worry about monitoring what their children viewed. I think commercials have pushed the Tweet NPR terminated the contract of Juan Williams after comments the veteran journalist made about Muslims on Fox’s “The O’Reilly Factor.” Within 24 hours, Williams signed a lucrative contract with Fox News. Good for Fox News! My thoughts…Williams was expressing what many Americans are afraid to admlt. They are scared to death of another |
